Last Saturday was a very productive day for INNISCARRA Juvenile GAA with victory for u-15 hurlers against a strongly fancied Na Piarsaigh side in the Premier 1 Championship semi-final.  Trailing by four points at half time an impressive second half display saw them overcome the odds to reach the championship final against Sarsfields next Sunday morning.  Final score INNISCARRA 2 - 14, Na Piarsaigh 1 - 12.

Later in the afternoon at Blarney INNISCARRA U-13 HURLERS defeated Whitechurch by 2 - 10 to 1 - 10 to win the East A Hurling League title.  An impressive display by Sean McCarthy laid the foundation for victory and he opened the scoring with two points, the second after a long powerful run following a good clearance by Tom O'Sullivan.  Reliable goalkeeper Evin Cunningham then made a good save from a long range free and with powerful full-back Sean Leisk in commanding form ably assisted by Neil Vaughan and Tom O'Sullivan the back line looked solid.  Sean McCarthy then had another point before good work by John Gould picked out Oisin Morris who finished to the net.  Sean McCarthy had another point before good work by Josh Ambrose fed Oisin Morris and from a tight angle he split the posts.  A great clearance from Liam O'Connor found Josh Ambrose and he pointed to leave the score at half time Inniscarra 1 - 6, Whitechurch 0 - 6.

Whitechurch made a good start to the second half scoring a goal and three points to a pointed free from Oisin Morris and Inniscarra trailed by two points but then midfielders Sean Quinlivan and Colin O'Leary  began to gain control. Sean Aherne, Jack Walsh and captain Stephen Linehan were now playing brilliantly and substitutes Josh Roberts and Se Dineen brought much energy to the forwards.  Two points from Sean McCarthy and a wonderful point from John O'Connell brought the sides level before Inniscarra got the vital score to seal the match when Sean McCarthy cut in from the wing and finished a wonderful move to the net. Final Score INNISCARRA 2 - 10, WHITECHURCH 1 - 10.
