U10s trip to Glenflesk 2015-05-29 09:04:00

The U10 football team travelled to Glenflesk last Saturday for a challenge match with the Kerry Club. 30 players gathered in Ballyanly in their Cork colours for a bus departure at 9am. We arrived at Glenflesk’s very impressive new grounds at 10.30 and were welcomed by the former Kerry great Seamus Moynihan. We played two 10-a-side games, both teams played very well with two very evenly contested games. All players got plenty game time and demonstrated their skills following recent outings versus Kilmurray and Rebel Og blitzes in Macroom and Kilmichael. All players were presented with goodie bags by Seamus after the game and Seamus encouraged the kids to continue playing sport and practice at home. The team then departed for McDonalds in Killarney for lunch and returned to Cork in good spirits with excellent renditions of "Frozen" musical songs at the back of the bus. Thanks to Denis Lynch for organising the trip and to the parents for travelling and supporting the team on the day.

The teams were as follows - Ciaran Desmond, Liam Leisk, Tadhg Lyons, Tadhg O'Keeffe, Callum Larkin, Ciaran Gould, Conor Geoghan, Michael Murphy, Matthew Harris, Niall Hamill, Stephen Landers, Daragh Fleming, Luc Mellouin, Sean Linehan, Jack Keegan, Michael Lehane, Luke Kenneally, Daniel Murphy, Ryan O'Connell, Sean Connolly, Luke Walsh, Cian Lennane, Odhran Lynch, Jack Desmond, Donal Dineen , Jack O'Callaghan, Tom Coughlan, Daragh McCarthy, Joe Hayes, Leo Lucey.

We have invited Glenflesk back to Inniscarra for a return fixture and a demonstration on the game of hurling later in the summer.
