Good Win for U14 hurlers 2018-06-25 09:09:00

Inniscarra had a good win over Courcey Rovers in the u-14 Hurling League at Balyanly on Sunday evening.With the half back line of Harry Church, Brian Lowney and particularly Liam Buckley in superb form and Conor Sheehan at full back and the Keane brothers, Jonathan and David, unbeatable at midfield, a constant supply of good ball was supplied to the forwards and Aodhan Cooke in particular made good use of the supply.Inniscarra started strongly but the first few attacks failed to yield a score. Courceys got the first point but then a good clearance by Michael Dineen was picked up by Aodhan  Cooke and he ran at the Courceys defence before passing to Myles O'Neill to score an important goal.Then Myles O'Neill picked out Ross O'Donovan who struck a sweet point.Good defending and clearance by Andrew Scannell was picked up by Liam Buckley and he found Cillian Ryan who passed to Aodhan  Cooke for a point. Goalkeeper Adam Doyle clever puck out found Brian Lowney who passed to Ross O'Donovan and he found Aodhan Cooke for his second point. Good work by Senan Morris and Sean Og Desmond resulted in the ball reaching Jonathan Keane and his pass to Aodhan Cooke resulted in another point. Senan Morris was again involved in the next score when his pass to Ross O'Donovan resulted in a free which Ross duly converted for a point. Half time score  Inniscarra  1  -  5,  Courcey Rovers  1  -  2. The second half started with a point by Jonathan Keane after good defending by Sean Og Desmond and Conor Sheehan and this was followed by a pointed free by Harry Church for a foul on David Keane. A foul on Jonathan Keane resulted in Brian Lowneys free reaching Aodhan Cooke and he scored a goal and he followed with a point after good work by Peter Wall. A clever pass by Andrew Scannell to Brian Lowney resulted in a point from long range ant then brilliant work by David Keane and Conor Goeghan resulted in Peter Wall finding the net for another goal. Brian Lowney soloed the length of the pitch before being fouled and Harry Church pointed the free and then Brian pointed a log range free after David Keane was fouled. Neat work by James Aherne and Cillian Ryan found David Keane for a lovely point and Jonathan Keane scored Inniscarras last point after a lovely pass from Conor Goeghan.   .
