INNISCARRA 2 - 2, VALLEY ROVERS 4 - 7.

Inniscarra Fe-12s lost to a strong Valley Rovers side at Ballyanly on Friday in the P1 Hurling league.  Missing some regulars Inniscarra found themselves a goal and four points in arrears after 10 minutes and the prospects didn't look good but then they settled down with Ross O'Donovan, Sean Linehan, Michael Murphy and Ciaran Desmond to the fore. A good clearance from defence by Calum Larkin was picked up by Daniel Murphy resulting in a free converted by Conor Geoghan for the opening point. A free by Michael Murphy was sent into the corner and Jack O'Callaghan sent the ball across the square for Luke Walsh to score a well-deserved goal. Excellent defending by Tadhg O'Keeffe and Dylan Costello sent the ball to Ciaran Gould who was fouled and Ross O'Donovan long free shot found Tom Coughlan who scored an excellent point. Just on half time with Inniscarra just three points in arrears Sean Connolly was unlucky with a great attempt on goal to level the match and on the counter attack Joe Hayes made an excellent save but Valleys succeeded in getting the ball over the line for a controversial goal. Inniscarra conceded two goals early in the second half but excellent defending by Sean Linehan and Con O'Mahony kept Inniscarra in the game before Odhran Lynch and Ryan O'Connell combined resulting in a free which Conor Geoghan rifled to the net. Final score Inniscarra 2 - 2, Valley Rovers 4 - 7.
